Bible Studies & Classes

New Study: Pastor Jeff will lead small group studies on his new published book “Prayer”. The studies will be on Sunday mornings during the Sunday school hour, Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. in the church library, and Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. at his home 615 Ridge Avenue. If you do not have a copy the book, let me know and I’ll give you one. This is a great opportunity for us to learn, grow, and have fellowship with others. You are welcome to invite your friends. The studies will start on Sunday, January 14, and Thursday January 18.

The Book of Isaiah: Phil Karrmann is teaching Bible study on Sunday mornings during the education hour. He is teaching the book Isaiah. This is a very important book that spoke to the exiles during the time of the Babylon captivity. God speaks judgment to the nation Israel/Judah, King Ahaz, and the surrounding nations. This book also has prophesies about the coming Messiah (Jesus), and the hope of rebuilding and newness of life. Phil is a very good teacher, so you will want to take advantage of this opportunity. The class meets in the adult library.

Prayer Meetings: Pastor Pedersen is holding a prayer services on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. These this is a short informal time where you can come and pray for our church, your concerns, and for the concerns of other people. We will also pray for our nation, the nations of the world, and also for the church throughout the world. All are welcome.We will continue our informal prayer meetings on Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m. Come and gather with other Christian believers and pray. We pray about things that concern you about the world, your life, and also we pray for our church. Everyone is welcome!

Men’s Prayer Breakfast: Pastor Pedersen leads a men’s prayer breakfast at the Country Kitchen at 7:00 a.m. on Friday mornings.

Women’s Small Groups: LCOP has three women’s circles (Deborah Circle doesn't meet until Spring) .Both Hannah and Ruth Circles meet the first Wednesday of the month. Hannah Circle meets at 9:30 a.m. at the house of Peace. Ruth Circle meets at 1:30 p.m. in the LCOP adult library. You are welcome to join one of the circles to learn more about the Women of the Church and participate in the Gather Magazine Bible Studies.
