WORSHIP STYLE

The Lutheran Church of Peace offers both traditional and contemporary worship. Traditional services are offered every Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. and on the first and third Sundays of the month. Contemporary services are held on the second, fourth and fifth Sundays of the month. All Sunday services are held at 9:00 a.m. Both services include scripture, prayer and communion as we worship God. The traditional services use traditional hymns while the contemporary services use contemporary Christian music led by the Praise Band.

WHAT TO WEAR
At LCOP you will see everything from jeans and shorts, to dresses and business-casual attire. As we attend worship in God’s House, we’re not concerned about how you dress. Feel comfortable showing up just as you are.

COMMUNION
We are a Lutheran, multi-generational, sacramental community, part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. In worship, gathered around the Word and Sacraments of baptism and Holy Communion, we proclaim Christ Risen, together. We have an open table at Lutheran Church of Peace, which means that everyone without exception is invited to receive the bread and wine at communion, which for us is the body and blood of Christ. This is Jesus’ table and all are welcome!
SUNDAY FELLOWSHIP
After the Sunday worship service, we have a short fellowship with coffee and snacks. All are welcome to enjoy this time together.
