Pastor
Reverend Jasmine Tesdahl
Peace be with you!
I am Pastor Jasmine Tesdahl, the pastor here at Lutheran Church of Peace in Platteville, Wisconsin. I’ve been an ordained pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) since 2016. Along with my ministry as a pastor, I also serve as a Chaplain, Captain in the United States Air Force Reserve.
A little about me: I grew up in Indiana, but I have lived from Colorado to France, and points in between. I hold a Master of Divinity degree from the Iliff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado, and a Master of Arts from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (LSTC).
I feel called to help folks connect to God and connect to each other through the Good News of Jesus Christ. As a pastor, I am passionate about creating meaningful worship experiences for people, helping people to discern where and how God is calling them to be in the world, and encouraging the People of God to live out our call as followers of Jesus by working for peace and justice in all the earth.
I think I have the best job in the world, but when I’m not in the office, you can find me gardening, horseback riding, or traveling (usually to a beach.) I live in one of the most beautiful parts of the world: the driftless region of Wisconsin, with my brilliant husband, two innovative kids, sweet-but-crazy dog, and two cuddly cats who are definitely plotting something.
